ilzo-misc) AO3 has been banned by the Great Firewall of China. (official AO3 confirmation of inaccessibility, though not outright stating that it's because of censorship) I am saddened but not surprised (if anything, I'm surprised this didn't happen sooner).

Date: 2020-03-02 10:54 pm (UTC)it's weird that there's a narrative that they are folk heroes who steal from the bank in revenge of what the banks have stolen from the people. They hit safe deposit boxes. If you steal from a safe deposit box, the loss is incurred by the person whose stuff is inside, not the bank.
(bias note: i know someone who had a safe deposit box in that bank. Theirs did not get hit)

Date: 2020-03-03 02:59 pm (UTC)(Also: "He was not an Argentine national and thus was eligible to have his sentence cut in half, provided he left the country and never came back." does not seem to be a legal loophole as such; it's a way of kicking assholes out of the country. It's not necessarily a *good law* but it's clearly serving it's purpose of keeping random foreign bankrobbers out of Argentina?)
