I saw somebody in some comment-thread-or-something say once that they had an arrangement with a friend, where she did all of their grocery shopping for them and in exchange they would pay her back the *full* price of everything she'd bought them (so she got to keep the sale discounts and the loyalty points and the credit-card cashback)

and man that sounds like such a sweet gig, how do *I* get in on that

I wanted to title this with a quote from that one sci-fi dystopia where at one point one of the characters muses that it's such a shame how much rain just falls on the ground rather than into the hydroelectrics where it could be put to best use, but I cannot find it. I *thought* it was Logan's Run, but I dug up a set of subtitles and did a couple ctrl-Fs and came up with a *different* scene involving the characters seeing a hydroelectric system, one that doesn't talk about the wastefulness of rain.

I think I could pull like twenty bucks an hour doing grocery-optimisation

and, for example, it seems like one ought to be able to get something mutually beneficial out of putting "someone who bought their phone plan from Rogers because it was the Done Thing" and "someone who has read the pricing pages of every cell carrier in Ontario" together
