I've been living under a musical rock for the past few years (apart from store background radios), and my *god* I had no idea just how hard it has become to simply give artists money in exchange for receiving recordings of their songs.
I figured I'd probably have to do DRM stripping, but no, it's worse than that, *everything is streaming royalties* and there isn't even an *option* to buy.
Since the thing I was trying to buy was a charity single, I ended up pirating it and then donating $5 to the Canadian Red Cross (the charity they were supporting). That's not *not* buying it, right?
