1. What is your favorite vegetable?
Peas would be the most central example. Other foods I especially like that would be more likely to get me dragged into a lingustic argument are broccoli (especially the stems, though now that my tongue has done its puberty rewiring and become less sensitive to bitterness, florets are okay too), potatoes, and portobellos.
2. What is your favorite fruit?
I like mango *juice*, but have never gotten the hang of selecting and processing mangos. Apart from that, I like a ripe Gala apple.
(they go very well *together*, too)
3. What is your favorite cheese?
Cheddar, Grana Padano, Parmesan, and mozzarella each have their place: I wouldn't want to put grated Grana Padano on pasta, cheddar on a pizza, or eat a chunk of Parmesan straight. (Pretty much everything that Grana Padano *is* good for, Parmesan tastes nearly identical in, but Grana Padano is cheaper.) I tried akkawi recently and quite liked it.
4. What is your favorite dessert?
President's Choice dark-chocolate almonds! The perfect blend of taste, nutrition/satisfaction, and price! Accept no substitutes, save for Full Circle dark-chocolate almonds and almond-meal semi-sweet chocolate cake!
(do you see a theme emerging here in what kind of chocolate I like)
When I eat almost any other kind of dessert, I'm like "this is *okay*, but I could have had chocolate almonds instead".
5. What is your favorite beverage?
In practice I mostly just drink water. Mango juice is nice (as mentioned above). I used to drink a lot of chocolate milk, but these days I tend to find it unsatisfying(it's the lack of almonds).
(yes I tried chocolate almond-milk, and it's better than plain almond-milk but both are weirdly bad given much I generally like almonds)
