[cw: food, (mild) illness, first-world problems]
Ate the last of my Wegmans peanut butter yesterday. My stock lasted me nine months. I should have bought more.
(Last time I messed the peanut-butter stockpiling up a bit and the final jar expired, so I was trying to be more careful not to overshoot this time. I guess I kind of *did* overshoot in that I was aiming for *six* months, but that batch was good until March 2021, I totally *could* have bought more. In the naive 2019 way of thinking, I believed I'd have another chance to buy Wegmans food in six months. I didn't, and God knows when I ever will again.)
I haven't found any Canadian brands good enough to eat on a spoon--they're a bit too sweet--but they're okay if you put them on Wonder bread. I'll have to remember to start taking out a pair of slices to thaw each day: today I ended up having to toast them a little to get them un-frozen.
