Excel instructor, talking about hiding columns: "we're about to print this, we just don't want to print Social Security Numbers, so right-click column D--"
Me: *Social Security Numbers* in an *Excel sheet*?!?! Couldn't you have come up with a *slightly* less horrifying example for why you might want to hide columns or rows sometimes, that sets slightly less horrifying precedents?
(And before you shake your head at my naivete, I do know for a fact that my current employer is careless with my Social Insurance Number. But I am not resigned.)
