She tested negative, and her symptoms--while not entirely resolved--are improving faster than she would expect of a cold.
We have four hypotheses:
1. It being the beginning of spring, she may have gotten exposed to pollen.
2. She did a bunch of dusting and some vacuuming without a mask on, which might have irritated her airways.
3. It might be a glancing blow from [a cold that was *mostly* blocked by the surgical mask].
4. Both 1 and 2.
I notice that *all* of these trace back to the same basic problem: inadequate PPE. I hope she's learned a valuable lesson about that. It'd better have been valuable, given the couple hundred bucks in lost wages.
