Thoughts inspired by work radio
(Note: these are not all from the same day. Most of them have happened more than once, often many times.)

Okay, I *guess* after looking it up I can see how that vague string of sounds might be parsed as "hell naw", but even *before* noticing the (misleading) clue that the previous line refers to "pics" I thought it was "camera".
---
*bobs head to Phil Collins' cover of "You Can't Hurry Love"* *gets distracted and has to ask customer to repeat order*
---
"Movin' Out (Anthony's Song)" has some very specific associations in my head (playing in the basement as a child) that I would like to preserve, *why* must they make me listen to it in circumstances not of my choosing
---
Shit, is it finally happening, are they finally going to fucking trigger me--oh, never mind, it's just Katy Perry

♪ If I had a million dollars

I'd buy you a stipend
(And an accountant to clear it with the States) ♫

"Karma Chameleon" seems like a song that would be very easy to hate; I'm glad I happen to like it.
---
I saw a post on Tumblr once that was like "so is it just me or does 'Like a Prayer' sound very hypno-kinky", and I was like "oh thank god, it's not just me".
(supposedly that's not what it's about, but honestly, listen to it)
---
Why is 00's pop so fucking depressing?
---
That being said, I think I'm warming up to "Complicated". I hated it as a kid, but mostly because I hated the sort of people who were playing Top 40 in my presence.
---
I thought at first that this was a breakup song about learning not to give a shit about your ex's opinions, but upon catching more of the lyrics I found it was actually a love song, and upon looking up the lyrics I find it is *actually* actually a worship song.
---
The Fleetwood Mac version of "Stand Back" (from The Chain) is so much better. Shame they're playing the original Stevie Nicks solo version. *shrugs, sings along to the version in my head and ignores when the lyrics/tune don't quite match up*
---
[cw: illness]
Okay, I have had enough forced-listening-to-stuff (and forced touching of stuff that you're like 70% sure you saw your suspiciously sick-looking co-worker cough on, which is even more draining) for one day, time for some peace and quiet and maybe a nap--*goes home and is barraged by mostly-inane questions and remarks from Mom*
