[arguably cw: illness, venting]
I woke up this morning to find an itchy, somewhat warm/tingly band right where the bottom strip of mask-sealing tape goes.
*Specifically* the bottom, not the top, but I guess that makes sense because there'd be more adhesive buildup there (sometimes I un-tape and re-tape that area for water breaks enough times that the tape loses its adhesion and I have to get a new piece, and, well, when it loses adhesion, where would that adhesive *go*?).
Let us hope that this continues to *only* happen under conditions of [unusually high sealed-KF94 use + neglecting to wash my face for a while], and is not the beginning of another instance of pollen-type bullshit.
(And I'm planning to switch to elastomerics for the commute, which will cut my KF94 time by over a third: maybe that will help lower the dose.)
Maybe I will use a band-aid for the bottom today. And if this keeps happening, I guess I'll try looking into the fancy extra-gentle medical tape.
